Trump Says Joe Biden Wants Cryptocurrency to ‘Die a Slow, Painful Death’
Donald Trump, once a critic of cryptocurrencies, now says he is “very positive and open-minded about cryptocurrency companies.”
The former president once said that cryptocurrencies were a “a disaster waiting to happen,” but over the weekend he took to Truth Social, his social media network, to praise cryptocurrency companies and bash his political opponent, President Joe Biden. This comes soon after Trump’s campaign began . accepting cryptocurrencies.
In an all-caps message, Trump doubled down on his recent efforts to embrace cryptocurrencies.

“I AM VERY POSITIVE AND OPEN MINDED TOWARDS CRYPTOCURRENCY COMPANIES AND ALL THINGS RELATED TO THIS NEW AND FLOURISHING INDUSTRY,” former president he wrote. “OUR COUNTRY MUST BE A LEADER IN THIS FIELD. THERE IS NO SECOND PLACE.”
Trump then proclaimed Biden’s intentions regarding the new currencies.
“THE DISTRICT JOE BIDEN, ON THE OTHER HAND, THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, WANTS HIM TO DIE A SLOW, PAINFUL DEATH,” Trump said Saturday. “IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME!”
