- The approval of ETFs on Ethereum has shocked not only the Ethereum ecosystem but also the entire world of cryptocurrencies.
Leading cryptocurrency analyst, Michael Van de Pop, has provided his top 5 altcoin picks. This comes after the approval of Ethereum ETFs sent shockwaves not only within the Ethereum ecosystem, but also throughout the entire cryptocurrency world. Van De Pope believes that this significant event will trigger a surge in the Ethereum ecosystem.
Below is a list of altcoins that Van De Pop is keeping an eye on and believes are headed towards an uptrend.
Optimism (OP)
Leading the pack is Optimism, a Layer-2 scaling solution designed to address Ethereum’s scalability challenges. As the price of Ethereum continues to rise, platforms like Optimism that ensure efficiency are expected to thrive. This layer 2 program uses roll-up technology, batching transactions before sending them to the main network, thus reducing transaction costs and increasing speed.
Van De Pop highlighted the growth of the optimism ecosystem, placing emphasis on its notable Total Value Locked (TVL) ratio. Additionally, Optimism boasts with its low circulating supply, further indicating the potential for a price surge. Combining these important factors, Van De Pop believes that the price of OP will increase by 300% to 800% in BTC value within the semester.
Referee (ARB)
In second place is Arbitrum, best known as a guide to privacy and security. A layer 2 scaling solution competes closely not far from Optimism for Dominance that leverages zero-knowledge rollups. Arbitrum uses complex technology that ensures faster and more secure transaction processing.
While Arbitrum has not mimicked its strong fundamentals, Pop believes ARB is poised for bullish momentum due to its substantial TVL and continued development activity.
He believes this factor positions Arbitrum for a price rebound in the near future.
Woo Network (WOO)
Featuring high liquidity and low fees decentralized exchange (DEX), the Woo network appears on Van de Pop’s list of altcoins to buy. Woo as a decentralized exchange benefits from the growing regulatory scrutiny surrounding centralized exchanges. Woo Network appears on Van’s list due to its advanced technology and growing user base that promises significant growth thanks to the growing Ethereum network. Van de Pop predicts Woo Network’s value will skyrocket by 500% to 1500%.
Wormholes (W)
Wormhole offers interoperability resource transfers between different blockchains. As the Defi ecosystem grows, sharing information and data between blockchains becomes essential. Wormhole’s innovative ability to do this gives it an edge. As a network to invest in. Despite being a new player, Wormhole’s potential to gain widespread adoption and integration is undefeated.
Dogecoin (DOGE)
At the top of the list is the popular meme coin Dogecoin. Dogecoin’s robust community and recent price increases observed have put it on Van’s shortlist. With memecoin currently trade at $0.1611, a 1% increase over the past month positions DOGE as a volatile token. According to Michael Van de Pop, DOGE is a high-risk, high-reward asset. He points out during the recent surge of other meme coins and points out that Dogecoin could potentially experience a 4x to 5x increase.
