The Danish Revenue Agency clarifies which cryptocurrency trading activities are eligible for the corporate regime
On May 24, the Danish Tax and Customs Administration published online the decision of the National Tax Court no. SKM2024.287.LSR, which clarifies the cryptocurrency trading activities eligible for the corporate regime. The taxpayer was employed by a bank as an information technology (IT) programmer of portfolio management software. He took courses at the bank on trading, markets and derivatives. He then left his job in 2017 to trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on a daily basis. In 2017, he made over 5,000 transactions and earned over 5.6 million crowns ($815,110).
