Ledger begins shipping Tony Fadell-designed Stax wallet

registerthe web3 company specializing in cryptocurrency security solutions, has started marketing its new Stax wallet, created in partnership with Tony Fadell, known for his involvement in the development of the iPod.

The system aims to simplify the management of digital assets, in particular NFT and cryptocurrencies, and features a curved E Ink touchscreen, claimed to be the first of its kind, providing an always-on display while saving battery power.

The device is compact, the size of a credit card, and has a secure element certified to the highest industry standards (CC EAL 6+). It includes connectivity options like USB C, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Qi wireless charging support with built-in magnets for easy stacking of multiple units.

Secure Web3 Wallet

THE Ledger Stax Wallet will be available for new orders in summer 2024, with priority given to early pre-orders.

Tony Fadell, godfather of the iPod and director of Build Collective, said: “Crypts and NFTs before Ledger Stax were like MP3s before iPod: managing them was difficult. I designed the Ledger Stax experience to easily manage digital assets. Ledger Stax offers the world’s first E-Ink curved secure touchscreen. It’s nice to use, always on, but doesn’t drain your battery. And of course, it packs a decade of trusted Ledger security experience.

Pascal Gauthier, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ledger, also highlighted the importance of this release, stating: “By bringing Ledger Stax to market, Ledger has proven its ability to deliver truly innovative products, backed by a secure and best-in-class supply chain. .”

Further details have yet to be revealed at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
