Hulk Hogan denies involvement in cryptocurrency following bizarre social media posts
WWE Hall of Fame Hulk Hogan has distanced itself from a series of now-removed social media posts promoting the Solana-based meme coin HULKAMANIA ($HULK), which saw a significant rise followed by a sharp decline in its value.
In a Instagram post, Hogan urged his followers to ignore any posts made that day, stating:
Please do not pay attention to the posts published today. They do not originate from me and will be promptly removed.
Despite the removal of all related posts from his X account, cached versions of the posts reveal that Hogan’s account promoted the $HULK token, encouraging users to invest.
No one can compete with $HULK not even your mother!
The promotion of $HULK led to a rapid increase in its market value, with the token reaching a peak market value of $18.8 million shortly after launch. However, in just 20 minutes, the market cap plummeted to $2 million and has currently not recovered from that level. It has been speculated that Hogan’s social media account was hacked and used to promote this cryptocurrency.
Renegade social media posts were also aimed at Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, with derogatory posts targeting her and her cryptocurrency, $MOTHER.
You suck at giving head. $HULK has real milk.
$MOTHER and $HULK in the ring would be a legendary miss!! But you need a #FATHER!!
