Yesterday, June 20th, Michael Saylor took to Platform X to announce a recent massive purchase of MicroStrategy. The company acquired 11,931 BTC worth $786 million, with the average price per coin constituting $65,883. The company currently holds a total of 226,331 BTC, making it the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin. Financing for the purchase was provided by MicroStrategy’s recent debt sale. Prior to that, the company announced that it had completed its $800 million convertible note offering. However, the acquisition, despite its enormous size, did not have much of an effect on the market as it was mainly priced in after MicroStrategy increased its debt sale last week.
