Crypto Game Pirate Nation Activity Soars Ahead of Token Launch
Proof of Play’s Apex chain processes more daily transactions than all Ethereum Layer 2 networks after Base and Arbitrum.
Pirate Nation, an on-chain role-playing game (RPG) that runs on its own layer 3 blockchain based on Arbitrum Orbit, is set to launch its PIRATE token on Thursday, and players have been ramping up their activity ahead of the event.

As the name suggests, the game centers around pirate characters, who can be sent on various quests to collect resources used to craft new items like ships. Pirate Nation is a free game. However, having a Founder’s Pirate grants enhanced abilities.
PIRATE will have a total supply of 1 billion tokens, 47% of which are allocated to community initiatives such as the next airdrop and future points seasons. The team gets 28% and the investors 11.75%, with the remaining 13.25% reserved for ecosystem development.
