Cristiano Ronaldo’s fourth NFT collection with Binance set to launch on May 29, celebrating his legendary career

Prepare to be intrigued as Portuguese football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo announces his fourth non-fungible token (NFT) collection in an exclusive collaboration with Binance, according to Cointelegraph.

Get ready to participate in the next collection, which will debut on the Binance NFT marketplace on May 29. This collection will not only pay tribute to the footballer’s life but will also highlight key moments of his illustrious career.

According to a Binance blog post, Cristiano Ronaldo said:

“My footballing journey has taken me across the world and I have had the honor of playing for some of the most prestigious clubs. Now it is your turn to join me on this journey too.”

The number of NFTs in the new collection will be disclosed during the series premiere, and the price has not yet been specified. However, the post clarifies that the cost of each “normal NFT” will remain constant, while the price of the “final Super Rare NFT” in the collection will vary.

Cristiano Ronaldo faces billion-dollar lawsuit over previous NFT sales with Binance amid legal challenges against founder Changpeng Zhao

Previous NFT events featuring Cristiano Ronaldo have included non-digital benefits, such as a premium experience in which holders received an invitation to play football with the legendary player himself as part of a promotional initiative by Binance.

In November 2023, Cointelegraph reported that a class action lawsuit had been filed against the soccer sensation in a United States District Court in Florida regarding his previous involvement in NFT collection sales with Binance.

According to the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, “Ronaldo coordinated the promotion, assistance and/or active participation in the offering and sale of unregistered securities.” Ronaldo should have known that Binance was engaging in such activities.

Lawsuit against Cristiano Renaldo stems from Binance precedent legal disputes, which resulted in the conviction of founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao for facilitating fraudulent activities in the United States. In April 2024, he was sentenced to four months in detention for his alleged involvement in a money laundering scheme.
