Coca-Cola has chosen to launch its “MasterPièce” NFT collection on the recently introduced Coinbase Ethereum Layer 2 “Base” Network. The famous global beverage giant is consolidating its presence in the world of non-fungible tokens, marking its inaugural venture into this digital domain via the Coinbase layer-2 network.
Coinbase made the announcement on August 13, revealing the arrival of the Coca-Cola collection as part of its “Summer in chain” – a multi-week chain festival celebrating art, culture, music, gaming and much more.
The Masterpiece Collection brings together iconic works of art such as Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” and Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” with new works from emerging talents, “all linked to the iconic Coke bottle.” Cola®”.
With this transformation into onchain collectibles, these works acquire a whole new dimension, making them accessible to art enthusiasts participating in the Onchain Summer event.
