Are NFTs and Cryptocurrencies Confirmed for GTA 6? Unverified Rumors

A story of unverified cryptographic claims

This isn’t the first time rumors about cryptocurrency in GTA 6 have surfaced. Similar claims have been made in previous years after a X post and one trailer leaked with “BUY $BTC” appeared, but these rumors were not founded.

At the end of 2022, the company banned the use of cryptocurrencies and NFT on player management GTA 5 Servers and while Take-Two Interactive has explored the blockchain space with its acquisition of Zyngawhich launched a blockchain game on Ethereum, there is no indication that this will extend to the next title.

The game is scheduled to release in 2025 and any future announcements will clarify its features. As of now, there is no confirmed information about cryptocurrency features in GTA 6.
