A new proposal has already sparked a lot of controversy within the cryptocurrency community. Crypto Twitter is discussing whether Arbitrum Reputation (ARB) NFTs can be used to claim retroactive airdrops in the future.

ArbitrumDAO Introduces Reputation NFTs: Here’s How They Work

The Reputation NFT system may soon go live on Arbitrum (ARB), as TogetherCrew analysts have received a matching grant from ArbitrumDAO. This statement was shared on the main Arbitrum community forum by Daniel Ospina of RnDAO.

Incubated by RnDAO, TogetherCrew will build a system that measures and verifies the real activity on social networks of this or that Arbitrum enthusiast (ARB).

Reputation NFTs will be created by contributors creating (for free) a non-transferable NFT through the TogetherCrew user interface.

The algorithm will analyze conversations and map social graphs. They will in turn be used to calculate the context a person has about the community. This is a Sybil-resistant approach that can be used for rewards, as a portable identifier (proof of membership/participation), etc.

The grant application mentioned Discord, Discourse, Telegram and Github as potential platforms to be analyzed by the mechanism, while the exact list of eligible social media platforms has not yet been disclosed.

$210,000,000: Arbitrum (ARB) launches extensive Gaming Catalyst program

Although the project is entirely funded by grants, the exact timeline for its activation has not yet been revealed. The platform behind Arbitrum reputation NFTs has already created these systems for Aave and other crypto market participants.

Yesterday, the Arbitrum Community (ARB) gave the green light to the launch of a massive gaming-centric initiative. The project transferred 225 million ARB tokens to the new Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP).

The program focuses on “immediate” adoption of Arbitrum (ARB), its L3 Orbit development framework, and the language-agnostic Stylus SDK in the Play-to-Earn and GameFi segments.
