Animoca Brands Japan Unveils “SORAH” NFT Launchpad
Animoca Brands Japan announced the name of his new NFT launchpadSORAH from Animoca Brands Japan, and is expected to launch in summer 2024.
SORAH, named after the Japanese word meaning sky, aims to support NFT projects by offering creators the opportunity to sell their NFTs while offering various sales methods and loyalty programs.
More information on these programs will be released at a later date.

Connecting the world as one
Kensuke Amo, COO of Animoca Brands Japan, explained the inspiration for the name: “SORAH of Animoca Brands Japan is inspired by our goal to seamlessly connect Japan and the global community in the web3 domain, just like the sky (SORA [空] in Japanese) connects the world as one. Since its establishment, Animoca Brands Japan has been involved in the global development of Japanese intellectual property and content (IP) in the web3 field while supporting the development of foreign projects in Japan. Now, by creating our own launchpad, we intend to further strengthen these efforts and accelerate the mass adoption of Web3 by serving as a gateway for IP between Japan and overseas.
The launchpad will support blockchain networks such as Ethereum and Polygon, and payment options will include credit cards and cryptocurrencies.
SORAH will use sales formats such as lotteries and first-come, first-served methods, and will be compatible with digital wallets such as Metamask and WalletConnect, using the ERC-721 token standard for NFTs.
The platform also aims to strengthen the global presence of Japanese IP, including manga and anime, and intends to serve as a bridge between Japanese IP and international audiences.
